Your Outdoor End of Season "To Do" List
It’s that time of year to take a walk around your property & make a list of things to do before the winter season is upon us. Remember to empty, clean & store your outdoor flower pots to prevent cracking. Save your potting soil for next year ~ you can re-use it, just add some fertilizer to the soil in the spring and it’s good to go! Water plants & trees this fall, even if your sprinkler system is shut down, especially newly planted areas. Cut back perennials & dead debris to control disease and insects. Clean your garden tools and winterize your mower before you store them for the winter. Cover your outdoor patio furniture to prevent damage. Finally, don’t forget to winterize your sprinkler system to prevent damage to frozen pipes.
